A quick google search pointed me toward American Rotary. It wasn’t their website or their pricing but the number of videos and testimonials about the quality of their product and the great service. I wasn’t disappointed.
I called on a late Friday evening hoping to reach someone for some info on their products but what I got was a gentleman who asked probing questions regarding my needs and it was only a matter of a few minutes before I was convinced that I found the right company to put my trust in. Lenny analyzed my needs and sized my converter. I also purchased a load center and breakers — A one stop shop!
I hung up the phone happy on Friday and received my converter about 36 hours later — on a Sunday! and I’m half way across the country! wow. I got to work installing — it was a breeze.

I tried an inexpensive digital converter that made my machine motors very hot due to unbalanced power. A person I bought a milling machine from said he had an American Rotary and was very happy with the quality, so I gave them a try.
When the unit arrived, the control box had a shipping dent. I called American Rotary and they sent another one immediately.
The unit works flawlessly, is very quiet, and my equipment motors don’t even get warm.It has been very nice to deal with an honest company that looks out for the best interest of their customers.
When I started, the garage had a single 120 V receptacle behind a shelf. Now, there (4) duplex 120A receptacles, (1) NEMA 16,20 A 240/120V with a DPDT switch to select voltages. 30A 50A 1 phase receptacles. Two 20A, one 30A and one 15A 3phase receptacles with a disconnect from the converter to the 3phase box.
