Sizing Chart

The following phase converter wizard has been used by American Rotary Engineers to successfully size tens of thousands of phase converters. For additional sizing assistance call 1-888-743-6832.

*If your power rating is different than horsepower (HP), use the below calculations (or see video below) to find the proper HP rating to input into the Phase Converter Wizard.

**Please note these calculations are for 208 – 240 volts. If you are in need of a different voltage setup please call to talk with one of our sales associates.

Please Note: On most Gear Head Lathes there are two different HP ratings that you do need to take into consideration when sizing for a Rotary Phase Converter. To ensure you are sizing your Rotary Phase Converter correctly please add the two HP ratings together and input that into our Phase Converter Wizard or contact our office at 1-888-743-6832 to talk with one of our sales associates

Calculations:

• 240v amps / 2.8 = 240v HP

• KW * 1.342 = HP

• KVA = HP

• Watts / 1000 * 1.342 = HP
